能都不同的华人（比如有的认为自己是Taiwanese，而与任何中国概念做彻底的切割，

锋相对，各子群体之间对于自身在美国的身份定位可能差别极大，有的人是完全的。

I got to know most of my friends from Taiwan
20 years ago when I was still a student.
At the time, there was no official CSSA in the
college I went to, and not many students from
the mainland at all. I ended up spending most
of my time with them. The great, great majority
of them supported one China. They said those
stupid Taiwanese did not get to come to the US.
I guess decades later, only stupid Taiwanese
were left in Taiwan. |

(505,225, 1.3%), Japanese (428,014, 1.1%), Taiwanese (109,928, 0.2%)。
不支持细分的，东亚（中日韩台）加印度有7.7%, 支持细分的是东南亚（菲律宾越南)
4.6%， 力量明显是不支持细分的占优势。
与那个党应该是没有关系，不管加州是蓝还是红， 选票决定是否细分，估计政策是一
致的， 说不定GOP们真要上台了，还要稍倾向于细分， 因为菲律宾越南裔传统上支持

would have thought this is how Chinese in PRC write it--or how simplified
Chinese character system dictates it. Oftentimes, there are many words,
phrases written by Chinese in this age that I or Taiwanese of my era would
not have written. (I can't say the same for Taiwanese of this era, either,
because I have not caught up (with them).) |

would choose to stay in the US. It is the same for all other European and
Asian students with a stronger undergraduate and graduate education level
than Taiwan. You should not ask why we choose to stay in the US, but why
