IMHO, a good memory would be one factor to influence a writer's writing
style. If the writer can remember what others have written (elegantly) about
a similar subject, his own writing would benefit therefrom. A good memory
also help improve the writer's vocabulary.
Logical thinking also helps. An essay is just one big argument backed by
strong evidence and a natural flow of logics. No argument is bulletproof.

Americans (Those with the bigger number go first.) In that category, Caltech
is dismal and probably near the end of the top 100 research universities.
Unless one list all 100 universities, Caltech is not going to make the list.

umbrage at her remark. The trigger for aquired diabetes is still a mystery unless
Gilda has found or googled the cause thereof.
4 lbs of fruit is not 4 lb of sugar to begin with. Half of it probably is
water.
Eating more sugar does not necessarily lead to diabetest. Athletes eat a lot
more calories than we do. It's all in the ballance, and varied in each
individual case as SMALL correctly pointed up in her post.
