耶鲁出版社每年举办Yale Series of Younger Poets competition，搜罗全美国的年轻
诗人的诗作，评选出一位“耶鲁青年诗人”（Yale Young Poet）。这个奖项从1919年
开始设立，是美国历史最长的诗歌奖；历年获得“耶鲁青年诗人”称号的诗人包括
Adrienne Rich, John Ashbery, Jack Gilbert, Jean Valentine和 Robert Hass——
读过Adrienne Rich；她那届的评委是W.H. Auden。Auden从1947年起做过13年评委，是
该奖最辉煌的时光。
今年摘取耶鲁青年诗人桂冠的是University of Denver的博士生Eryn Green，作品集的
题目叫“ERUV”——什么意思？评委Carl Phillips的评论颇为精彩：

我没读过研究生，作为旁观者说说这个问题。主要是研究生学的东西很窄， 走出这个

92年我在中科院作毕业论文，直接体会到研究领域之窄。 我所在的研究室里有几个研

的主要数据基本上都是捏造的。这也不便于说太多损他们的话了，因为大家都是混饭吃
。熟识的硕士毕业留院工作了几年的某人和我描述说我的前任工作比我卖力多了，没日

与2008影响颇大的7漂FARMINGTON相比, 有很多改进的地方: 8条河在我们的LIST上, 提
高效率(每人一个船位), 康州漂流经验丰富同学颇多, 保证活动更安全+更多的FUN, 我
有康州活动助理, 让我把精力更多放在安全上和质量上.

” 内观道“一词出现在《长部14*大本经》中，其内容指的是十支缘起的还灭门，只是元亨版的译法
是”观道“而不是”内观道“：
诸比丘! 尔时，毗婆尸菩萨如是思惟：“此正觉之观道，由我所证悟：名色灭则识灭，识灭则名色
灭，名色灭则六处灭，六处灭则触灭，触灭则受灭，受灭则爱灭，受灭则取灭，取灭则有灭，有灭则生
灭，生灭则老、死、愁、悲、苦、忧恼灭，如是此等全苦蕴灭。”
诸比丘! 于 “灭尽!灭尽” 之思惟，毗婆尸菩萨，于诸前未曾闻之法，眼生、智生、明生、光明生。
此经英译本的译者Maurice Walshe 的用词是：insight （vipassana） way ，所以译成观道或
内观道都应该是正确的，不过insight或vipassana通常都译为内观，所以译成内观道更为清楚。
二、内观道亦是八正道

at least four parties will be needed for a majority government.
This was expected, but with Mr Wilders' PVV party being one of the three
coming joint second, this could cause problems as all the other parties said
they will not work with Mr Wilders.

Mark Rutte's VVD leads on 31 seats.

发帖数: 5637 | 31 最近好几家美国媒体都在讲现在"要想富，当农夫"。最近我在恶补Laura Ingalls Wilder草原小屋系列，昨天刚好看完Famer Boy。这本书是讲1870年左右她的老公，Almanzo Wilder,十岁时在纽约上周的富农生活。书中讲道农民的生活虽然非常艰苦，但是却是最自立和最有自尊的工作。Almanzo十岁时被一家小企业看中问他愿不愿意去做学徒工，以后还有可能继承那家工厂。但Alamanzo觉得去做商人和做老板都得仰人鼻息，还是腁手胝足的农民生活最好。在Ingalls Wilder系列丛书里，她多次提到农民是最具备美国的自由，勇敢，勤劳和开拓的精神的，而那时美国也正是由农民开发和建立的。这是Almanzo的父亲对他的谆谆教导和Almanzo的回应 （p370):

Wilder草原小屋系列，昨天刚好看完，Famer Boy。这本书是讲1870年左右她的老公，
Almanzo Wilder,十岁时在纽约上周的富农生活。书中讲道农民的生活虽然非常艰苦，

有挑战之一的民间非商业户外集体活动.
目的:
1)推广漂流为主题的水上运动
2)用漂流从水路去探索Wilderness
3)招募第一只民间队伍, 从水陆&陆路探索广大的Alaska, Yukon, 和整个北美西部
4)我们的目标是踏遍北美的各主要名河, 于是今年轮到加州.
方式:
自己负责后勤和器材的租赁(很多方式, 也不贵), 没有其他费用, 我们提供一些免费的
知道和领路, 户外有风险、责任全自负.
我们活动的统计: >6000人次 >150天以水为主的活动, 0受伤率, 0死亡率, 个人拥有接
近100只(人)船.
条件:
1)游泳应该不错, 差一点的话至少其他运动或户外很强
2)对我们以后北美WILDERNESS大活动感兴趣, 特别是2012的Alaska Wilderness活动感

上讲也是法规，所以人人都应该自觉遵守。 立法的难度在于各个地方的熊和自然环境
不同，所以还是各个公园自己制定 regulations比较恰当。
至于保护野生动物的立法，其实早都有了。这就是 著名的 The Wilderness Act of
1964 （http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilderness_Act）。

洲埃及觉得花钱更多而且签证还没搞，去巴哈马佛罗里达又觉得沙滩看够了，最后还是
决定再访美国西部, 至少grand staircase 以及reflection canyon对我还是有些吸引
力， 而且去reflection canyon也算是小小的体验一次backpacking. 大体几个地方是
： racetrack valley, bisti wilderness, grand staircase national monument(
GSNM)，hole in the rock, reflection canyon 以及 angels landing, 计划中的
cathedral valley，因为路上积雪没有去成。
Death valley national park很早以前来过，但那时没时间去racetrack valley, 所以
这次就给补上了，我对大自然一些奇特的现象总是充满兴趣，这里会“走路”的石头让
人觉得大自然真是奇妙，其原因现在也只是推测，具体这些石头到底是如何移动的，谁

为圣诞礼物. 由於挺喜欢这个有抽象意境的作品, 所以那幅画也就一直的挂在了我书房
的墙上.
虽然我早知道Ansel Adams是什么人, 但好多年过去了, 我却一直没好奇大師那幅画照
的是什么地方. 一直到前些年山爬的多了, 也多次在High Sierra上的John Muir
Wilderness及Ansel Adams Wilderness里背负健行, 才开始慢慢的对会以他们來命名一
个wilderness的这兩个人多了一些了解及敬仰, 也才去找出了那幅画照的地点, 是加州
Sequoia 国家公园里的一个一万尺高山上的湖泊Precipice Lake.
终於, 在年度的backpacking计划里, 我把寻访Precipice Lake的路线列入了行程, 也
早早的拿到了permit. 从Sequoia NP的Mineral King登山口, 往北走到Bearpaw Meadow
, 再转向东沿著High Sierra Trail而行. 两天半之後, 我们一行山友8人, 终於到达了
