g****o 发帖数: 124 | 1 Most companies who sponsor GC would go with EB3 unless the applicant is ASA.
My current company is willing to sponsor EB2 for me, however, I did not get
my ASA until after joining the company, which according to the attorney,
disqualifies me for EB2. Anyone had experience arguing the case or upgrading
to EB2 within the same company?
Thanks! |

Good luck! |
g****o 发帖数: 124 | 3 My boss is willing to cooperate, so does Attorney. But I don't know what the
solution could be. Actuarial jobs never require a M.S. degree. High level
ones require ASA or FSA. I have a M.S. degree, but not ASA prior to joining
the company.
What sucks is the USCIS rule that the experience and credentials gained at
current company can't be counted.
EB2.

knowledgeable about the immigrant law. |

is what I did. |
b*****b 发帖数: 186 | 6 Either Master degree or Bachelor degree with >=5 years similar experience,
both requirement can satisfy the EB-2 requirement. If your job description
does not require Master degree (most of actuarial jobs do not, some may say
prefer, but seldom say requires), you probably want to try the second one. |
