很promising，老板催着我往前做，我偷着做了一些control，根据control的结果怀
疑之前的data是artifact，但没重复之前不100％ confident。
我现在的想法是，老板要做的我已经做完了可以交差。同时confirm negative result
。但我不想马上告诉老板，因为怕他瞎出主意，想自己找出消除artifact的solution
之后再跟老板说。可是同时老板在听我汇报时一定会问我下一步计划，也不想tell
lies。我想这种情况应该不少人遇到，请教一下大家都是怎么应对的？

"control", "optimization", "characterization". I need to give him some
reason for stopping to do controls. He is smart though, so I'm confident
he'll agree if I show him the prelim control data.
If I start to do more controls and explore solutions right now, but only
show him the 1st control data and propose to do more controls (which I
already finish by then), and buy some time to find solutions by myself
until the next m

Don't hide the data from him. Try to communicate with him effectively

发帖数: 1187 | 7 Thanks a lot for your input. I guess I just want to be the guy who brings
solutions to him, not just problems. On the other hand, a PI doesn't like
ppl hiding data, of coz.
Now the best way out seems to be working hard to get closer to solution b4
the meeting. time to get back to work~

and finally convinced boss to drop it... 不堪回首啊~
