实在没意思，想考GMAT申请MBA转行，但毕业后因身份问题基本上不能在美国找到工作
了， 很有可能回国发展。 现在要么继续在公司呆上五六年办下绿卡，要么报考MBA回
国发展，应该选择哪一个？比较困惑。有哪位给点意见吧。 |

back in China, if this is your goal, no need to worry about green card.
I know some Indian MBAs who used 5 years of H-1B prior to coming back to b
school, and they still get very decent jobs in the USA after graduation:
those companies just speed up immigration process given their H-1B status.
In this case, you do not need to worry too much about green card either.
All in all, follow your dream and immigration status sho

internally will be fine, right? H1B can be renewed after 6 years, if I still
remeber. |

中国人在美国身份比什么都重要. 即使以后要回国,有身份也多一个选择.
美国的工作机会很多,上学的机会更多.

As I know, in order to extend H1B after its 6 year expiration, the applicant
should have already applied for Green card for one year. For the Indian
case you meantioned, I am curious how they could do it after 5 years' H1B
has been used.

allows part time MBA especially in this layoff seasons.

years to do something I am not interested in is also expensive.

发帖数: 66 | 12 One of them gets in at McKinsey Company, the company just starts green card
applicaiton right after he starts. I also know one of my co-workers, who is
also an Indian, switched his job to my company with only three months left
in his H-1B; my company just make an exception (normally one-year period is
needed to start green card applicaiton) and file a green-card application
immediately. As I said, if a company really sees the value in you, they will
take care of everything and make you an asset.

able to work in 3 months.
Or, did he apply via EB1a/b/c? If so, he MAY barely get EAD in 3months
depending on his luck.

suggested here ( he is hired as a senior manager). My point here is that
employers will try their best to retain you if you are valuable.

Let's say your total H1B is 6 years, and you go to school after using 4
years, you should be qualified for
another 2 years after MBA, to make it 6 years in total. The good news is
that your new H1B will be counted
against the yearly quota.
That is my understanding, please correct me if i am wrong.
