a year, taking almost no weekends off. It ruined my health, both
physically and mentally. And I didn't achieve much. I will not do it
again.

I always believe, everybody's fate is determined at the beginning of his/her
life...the fate includes all those trivials....

need much thinking, i can work
much longer. but intensive reading make me tired soon.

there is a proposal deadline.
Don't know if I can get tenure though.

前几年真没觉得当老师和当学生有什么不同，曾有过各种各样的 addiction
网上灌水，打牌，打游戏，看没完没了的电视剧，带着孩子参加各种各样的活动，
似乎挺爽的。（靠着运气好，吃点老本）
可现在忙的要命。周末也要工作还是感觉时间永远都不够用。
出来混，总是要还得。还是理性规划的好。

、service各方面的压力都在增大。

我的策略是先粗粗读一遍，放一边，有空的时候（比如开车回家路上）想想，一两天后
再细看一遍搞定，这样做平均下来13页的paper每篇大概30-40分钟。 |

easy to read and give a score. it is hard to write comments that don't hurt
students and take points off. |

ｐａｐｅｒ脑子在ｉｄｌｅ．当然也不排除有人体力脑力无限，可以一直高效工作。
不过基本上在教学之外每周有２０－３０小时纯研究时间还是必需的。当然研究已经轻
车熟路的可以少些。 |

Used to be 9 hrs/day. But got really tired and lost quite some weight. So
now I decided to work shorter hours. |
