USCIS records indicate that an element of the background check process was
initiated for your constituent’s permanent residency case; and it is still
not complete. After this process is complete, the Alien File (A-File)
containing the aforementioned Form I-485 application may be referred to an
administrative review which will facilitate the return of this case to an
officer for adjudication at the NSC. We are unable to determine the date on
which your constituent’s permanent residency case will be assigned to an
adjudicating officer and when the adjudication process may be complete.
