I am planning to pay additional principal. I was wondering if there is any
difference for when to make this payment.
I heard someone mentioned it's better to pay the additional principal at the
end of the month to save the interest charged. For example, is there any
difference for the interest I pay to the lender in the following two
scenarios when I pay the same amount of additional principal?
(1) Pay today May 9th
(2) Pay on May 31st

发帖数: 3523 | 2 一般来说还本要在还完当月月供之后进行，据说wells fargo 似乎会自动把一笔还款里
扣除月供之后的余款作为还本处理。不过，不是所有lender都这么nice的。
具体操作最好先咨询自己的lender。通常的做法是，还完当月月供之后，应该是任何时
候都可以还本金的，最好在memo里注明principal only，这样即便发现lender算错了，
也好有argue的理据。 |
