help cool his body. this process is triggered in part by nerve impulses that
release chemical mediators that act on smooth muscle cells in blood vessel
walls. which of the following enzymes would be directly acivated by this
chemical mediator?
A adenylate cyclase
B guanylate cyclase
C heme oxygenase
D Nitric oside synthase
E phospholipase C |

but the answer is B talking about nitric oxide. i don not know what's wrong
about A. anyone knows?

to NO and cGMP

b****o 发帖数: 169 | 7 if it is acetylcholine, it should choose E because acetylcholine act on M3
receptor in blood vessels, right?

what it is asking about.

Maybe it is not chosen because it is not directly activated? But can NO
directly activate guanyl cyclase, or it also act though a receptor?
BTW, i can not see the graph you attached.

w*****e 发帖数: 17 | 10 Blood vessel smooth muscles have M3 receptors, however, are not innervated
by neurons. The local vasodilation effect described in this scenario is a
humoral effect, not a neuronal effect. NO activates M3 receptor leading to
activation of cGMP and subsequent vasodilation. Choice B is correct. |
M*****1 发帖数: 371 | 11 I remember that the cutaneous circulation is almost entirely under
sympathetic control. Is the neurotransmitter NE and Ach? Are cutaneous
vessels different from other vessels? |
k**e 发帖数: 2728 | 12 There is one thing I am confused though, M3 Rc is through the Gq signaling
pathway, which in the case of alpha-1 (through Gq) it causes
vasonconstriction... I wonder how M3 is causing vasodilation through the
same signaling path, just confused...
