兴趣.很快就到了"你有什么问题"的问题.我感觉真的没戏了.就随便问了两个"有没有时
间do research啊"的问题.事隔多年,中间记不清了,我们又说起了我strength and
weakness. 我说我de strength 是我对医学的热情.-本人很喜欢医学,想到为了做这个,
东奔西跑现在坐在这听人说这说那,无dignity可言.-眼中一热,赶快低下头,就说不出话
了.我说了一句" I really like medicine, I have to get this. I will do
anything to be excellent." 她就在我的paper 上写了一些东西.此后又聊了许多.
结果是我match 到这里,转眼都快毕业了.她也成了我最喜爱的老师.每次见面都要说一
堆.我也知道了他们的担心是不无道理的.每年七月新人来,如有一人不行,一个team 都
要受罪.international 更是最受注目的.有趣的是, internationals 往往是较好
residents after a few months.
我想,真情最能打动人.你如喜欢一件事情,一定会把它做好.我觉的有时不必为自己辩护
很多,事实是在那里,简历也是在那里,可是如果你很爱这个职业,什么都不会是问题-因

发帖数: 156 | 3 I didnt feel the questions were out of line at all. Graduation years < 5
yrs is perfect. American MD/Ph.Ds are given a lot of slack in terms of the
time finishing the exams, gap years due to research. These are typical, nice
questions.
I love your 'I love medicine, I will kiss every frog out there till I find
my love.' attitude.
We shall put it in our own words and recite it every morning in front the
mirror till we are moved by it. :-) Good way to kick start the day.
5. The last tip- I think the most truthful- is that there is just that much
you can do. I secretly believe that the program has an idea who they want
and who come last even before the interviews start. The medical schools, the
visa status, the number of years post graduation are all key factors and
may be the only criteria they go by with. In those cases, no matter how well
you do with your interview, it will not matter. I think the purpose of
interview is to know who they do not want in the program ( in fact there
were quite a few AMGs due to personality problems). I think we should do our
best, and let it be. The " let it be" part is the hardest but I believe
everything happens for a reason and for a purpose.
