推荐几本吧,slow run 其实应该在置顶有个书目录:
必读:

2.running formula
选读:

选读里面,我不知道是否 1, 2, 3 有重复,还是你推荐都买?

这些我都有, Lydiard的running to the top我也有。
也不能说AM和running formula是必读,只不过比较popular而已。
如果只选一本理论书,我会从这里选lore of running。因为内容够多:)
born to run跟这些书不是同一类的,但是非常推荐。

明白版主和天狼星大哥的意思,你们说的其实是两类书:
一类是handbook类型的,比如AM and Running Formula,其实就是教人怎么跑步,告诉
读者中长跑、马拉松训练的科学规律。
个人感觉最好的是AM,超级实用,告诉你很多在训练比赛里非常有效的tipps,里面的
很多知识都能引起runner的共鸣,Ryan Hall在序言里就说了这么一句,原文记不清楚
了。另外一本Road Racing 4 serious runners也挺好,作者也是PP and SD,基本就是
AM的简化版。
感觉Running Formula有些过于程式化了,真成Formula了。真正意义上的跑步其实更多
是一项依靠主观感觉不搀杂太多科技含量的运动,如果你feel strong,就可以run
strong。那些肯尼亚人没有心率计、记速器、GPS这些扯淡的玩意。在另外一本书里看
过,黑人的训练其实就是凭自身感觉,一个session能从最初22min/km飙到最后15min/
5k。Running Formula里面教人那些计算pace的方法:加多少秒、减多少秒、head wind

AM太实用了,这两年跟下来进步特别快。
formula我也买了,但是锁着一直没翻,觉得有AM以后暂时还没有解决不了的问题,以
后我跑短距离的时候再学formula。

这么多书里面,俺只读过born to run,绝对不是“励志小故事”,更像
anthropologist写得。

hope I won't spoil the fun here, but for someone who starts running late in
his/her life and doesn't have good genes (like me), I'd also recommend "
Marathoning for Mortals" by John "the Penguin" Bingham,a RW columnist. it's
very easy to read, full of practical tips, inspirational tales, and great
wisdom.
warning: for beginners (incl. walkers) only, not for oxes and cows, wild
boars, wolves, dolphins, birds and other speedy animals on this board.

Good books are like good coaches. Sometimes you need someone to tell you the
limits of your body, when it's time to stop or not train too hard. Some
other times, you need someone to tell you that there is no limit in what you

这个有体会的。
虽然15到20的时候还没有到墙,但是已经有一定疲劳度,如果不集中精力,速度就会不
自觉慢下来,一旦慢下来就更容易crash。

针对觉得书没太大用处的同学:
再度提及斑竹baiji,他开始马拉松训练的时候,估计和我状态差不多,而且貌似每周
跑40迈左右就ITBS。
后来他看了AM,严格按照AM训练,曾经达到每周100英里,速度快的多,完全没有伤,
已经让我望尘莫及了。
看看我作为反面例子,我虽然偶而上厕所看看AM,但是两次马拉松训练都借口我的
schedule不一样,没法完全照搬,除了最后的taper, 我可以说完全脱离了AM,根本没
有follow。
结果baiji突飞猛进的这一段时间,我不仅倒退,而且还受伤一直没好。
看书非常重要,更重要是要相信和follow

base training阶段,没有tempo/interval,所以才能上这么高mileage。
我同意老狼说的看书很有用,特别是对于我们这些没有教练的新手。
至于老狼说我严格按照AM训练,其实我还没有做到这一点。
比如书上说我应该用139-158之间的心跳来跑long run,我自己试过很多不同的方式来
跑,
有steady state, 有progressive,有时用140多一点跑完20迈,有时则冲到165收尾。
现在觉得还是145-155之间比较适合我,能在训练强度和效果之间有个好的平衡。
简而言之,理论是需要的,但是更重要的是listen to your body,sometimes ready
to adventure a little bit, but watch out for overtrain. Think long term, be
patient and consistent, improvement will come to you.

Agree ... It sounds like I had the similar experience these days.
When I was doing hill running section yesterday, I tried to push myself,
higher my knee and keep my pose ... and surprisingly my speed had been
maintained for a much longer time ...

For people with young kids like me, it is hard to focus on improving speed
and distance. What I want to know is to keep me fit running 3-4mils every
time without getting injury.

of 30-45 min run/walk during the week, and 1 long run in weekend (most
runners here won't call it long).
John is inspirational for an entire different reason. He started to run when
he was 43. He doesn't have athletic genes, his marathon time are b/w 5-6
hrs, he was overweight and still a bit heavy by our standard. Yet he
continues to run/walk - completed over 34 marathons and encouraged many
ordinary people (aka turtles

Ha, I was reading 34x$100 = $3,400 registration fees, not including
air fare, hotel, etc.;)
Anyway, Amazon is truly amazing. I ordered the Advanced Marathoning
yesterday after reading this board, and received it earlier this
morning.

Sounds like a lot of money, but I doubt he does >3/yr, so this is spread
over 10 yrs, no more than folks spend on this board
I've also put in an order at Amazon yesterday, they haven't even ship it yet

我每次都在经历你说的这些。
感觉还有很多力气,但是不自觉地就放松下来。
脚步节奏也变了。

是啊 我还是那句话 猪朝前拱 鸡朝后刨 各式各招 殊途同归

(late-onset runners), doesn't have good genes (like me)to run fast (<10 min
/mi), I'd also recommend "Marathoning for Mortals" by John "the Penguin"
Bingham,a RW columnist. it's very easy to read, full of practical tips,
inspirational tales, and great wisdom. running can be fun even when it's
slow. enjoy being a turtle, a penguin, or a snail before you transform into
a running monster.
