Does marathon improve my life expectancy? Current studies don't have enuf
evidence to suggest one way or another. At one point, we all have to make a
judgment call, is it worth it? To most of us, distance running is a hobby.
if we have to pay a price for it, so be it. |

能change one without changing others. 除了最显然的结论,没有什么定论。

马拉松之后,膝盖肯定会受伤害,至于这种伤害的累积程度和持续时间就不知道了

anybody else. if i happen to know somebody who runs marathon and has high IQ
, i wouldn't be motivated to run just to improve my IQ.

Another one: My father has bad knees. Lots people of his age in the same
building have bad knees too. None of them is runner. Can I say, non-runner
will have bad knees?
It reminds me that an article posted a few days ago, the author jumps to
conclusion that "但跑马拉松绝对会很容易老" based on one and only one example
. That's amazing.

the cause of bad knees; 3. even if running is the cause, it could be
attributed to improper running form, improper recovery, overtraining,
overweight etc. Any strenuous physical activity, if done improperly, could
result in injury.

T****a 发帖数: 4651 | 12 Before I started running, I already have arthritis for years. So the choice
I made was b/w a body part that can be replaced with artificial device and
another body part that is much harder to replace (heart). I think we have
also discussed other running risks on this board before, such as heart
attacks. Indeed, running a life style choice more than anything else.
