putting on my wetsuit. The wave was stronger than last time. At the
beginning of my swim, I was hit by a wave unprepared and took a gulp of sea
water, almost puked. 5 minutes later I start to remember how to swim

发帖数: 4931 | 3 I only brought my watch and not GPS, so I don't know the exact distance. But
I think it's about 1 mile, since I don't feel that I swim slower than in
the pool, except that I need to switch to breaststroke from time to time to
make sure I'm going in the right direction. It is a little harder to swim
with the waves, mostly because I have to be really careful not to drink sea
water.

if you "catch" the water and sync with the wave..:p

shore anyway, the waves came from the side.

发帖数: 4931 | 11 Absolutely. For the first time I can actually swim at New England's
beaches.:) I previously thought I'd need a full body wetsuit, but
apparently the sleeveless ones are good enough. Especially for
triathlon, one wants to stay with the sleeveless kind, which is easy to
take off.

can look around at will -- apparently some people can, and I still
haven't learned the trick. my solution is either to switch to
breaststroke for a short while, or to look at reference objects on my
right side (I only breathe on my right side).
