It seems intermittent fasting is effective for transferring sugar-mode into
fat-mode for fat burning.
Wondering if I should skip/significantly reduce my lunch size?
Only concern is afternoon/evening workout might be affected because too
hungry.

skip breakfast is a better choice..
you can have a larger time window without food, starting from last night's
dinner to today's lunch.
I have been doing this for months and feeling great.

不吃早饭一样会分泌胃液,长期没有东西消化就会得结石。而且一晚上加一个上午没东
西吃,对身体尤其是肝脏不好。女人消耗少一些也许能对付,男人长期这么干身体就垮
了。

嗯,俺早饭是吃的最多,最长的一顿。8:00 -- 11:00, 坐在办公室里不停的吃,一直
到午饭。

It proves nothing related to IF or skipping breakfast.
Only "obese" people with "very low" calorie diet are studied. None developed
gallstones when dietary fat intake is adequate.
RESULT:
Twenty-two (69%) subjects concluded the study, eleven in each group, and a
significant weight loss was achieved by all subjects. Gallstones (
asymptomatic) developed in 6/11 (54.5%) (P < 0.01) of subjects following the
lower fat diet, but in none with the higher fat regimen. In the dieters
during the first three months (very low calorie phase) the higher fat meals
always induced a significantly greater gallbladder emptying than the lower
fat meals. The cholesterol saturation index initially increased
significantly and then decreased, without difference between the two groups.
CONCLUSION:
In the obese during rapid weight loss from a very low calorie diet, a
relatively high fat intake could prevent gallstone formation, probably by
maintaining an adequate gallbladder emptying, which could counterbalance
lithogenic mechanisms acting during weight loss.

There are some evidences showing that skipping meals are related with GI
disorder including changes in liver function and metabolism in both animal
and human studies. Most of studies are midd-term. Long term effect is not
clear. At least, individuals with impaired liver function is not recommended
for this type of diet,suggesting that it may elevate liver burden,
including fat oxidation rate in liver, which might be good to reduce the
subcutaneous fat but significantly elevate visceral fat.-----could be
similar with the mechanisms of CLA increasing liver fat.

Bare in mind I am not in this field. But my cursory pubmed search did not
turn up anything meaningful linking fasting to liver damage. I would
appreciate it if you could share some peer reviewed papers on this,
preferably based on in vivo human studies. I am curious about how fasting
shall elevate liver burden as you
mentioned.
My issue here is actually regarding the meal timing or frequency. Who is to
say we should eat three meals a day, and when? Guess we mostly follow our
parents but are there really biological reasons behind it?
Aren't there cultures where people eat two meals a day? Can we say they
skipped a meal? There are suggestions that it is better to eat five or six
meals a day. Ooops then those who only eat three meals a day must have
skipped a meal or two right? So somehow their liver is burdened, at least
somewhat, compared to those who eat more meals? So 16-hour fasting window
suggested by IF guys are too long? Any real prof?
