在一个冬日的早晨，阳光灿烂，温度是恰到好处。开车从棕榈泉（Palm Springs）出发
，沿着10号公路一路东进。10号公路，渐渐离开Coachella Valley山谷，更加荒凉的荒
原和丘陵出现在眼前。在168出口开车北上，从Joshua tree national park的公园的南
口进入。
Joshua tree，乔舒亚树，美国西南部所产龙舌兰科(Agavaceae)丝兰属沙漠植物。生有
剑形叶,簇生蜡白色花。茎可高达10余米。树的形状如同约书亚在伸手祈祷,故名。乔舒
亚树生长极为缓慢，最初5年约每年生长3英吋，然后每年约1.5英吋。这种树没有树轮，

line, V1-rated,,和KKL1.Sire是K-9 police dog 而且是SCHH3。 已经在俄亥俄当地政
府执行任务很多年了。Dam是SCHH2但是我觉得她很有潜力，也很漂亮。然后通过最近和
breeder聊天，感觉她很爱自己的狗狗，一谈起来就滔滔不绝，而且都是一些小细节.
和几家血统更好的联系过，感觉都没有这家对自己的狗狗这么喜爱也没有这么专业。
最后问一下，这家狗舍的Sire的父亲是Dam的曾爷爷，这个不知道有没有问题。

直想发文回报本版。下面报一下流水账，呵呵。
背景：我爱狗，尤其爱大且聪明的狗狗。所以一直想养只金毛。但平时工作时间长，单
身，又住在拥挤的城市里(NYC)，直到最近才下狠心决心领养
Breeder/AKC/OFA: 在挑breeder方面小布他爸给了很多细心到位的建议。我花了一整个
周末收集了NYC开车三小时之内的所有网上能找得到的breeder一家家打电话（如有兴趣
请留email，mitbbs不能贴xls）。考虑到金毛的遗传病，祖上三代有OFA clearance是
最重要的，一般有clearance也就有AKC registration（虽然这个意义不大）。从价格
上来考虑，离纽约越近价格越高。Sir/Dam有OFC clearnace至少1.5k；有health
guarantee(refund/exchange if hereditary disease identified in 2y)，至少2k；
祖上三代有“奥塞金牌”至少2.5k。

发帖数: 195 | 9 Philae Temple在一个小岛上，我们是坐Felucca(三角帆船)去的，虽然慢一点，但是和国
内水上旅游的快艇比起来，还是这个比较有意思。
可爱的Felucca：
这个岛其实原来并不是一个岛，而是Lower Dam(尼罗河小坝，由英国人在1902年建造) 建
造以后的结果，而且这个神庙原来也不在这里，是由UNESCO(联合国教科文组织) 在1960
年把原来神庙拆了，估计是High Dam(尼罗河大坝，由苏联人帮助修建) 的结果，一块砖
一块砖的移了550米到了现在这个地方，我们后面的Abu Simbel神庙也是因为High
Dam的建造而不得不移动的。

Dam Bridge出发，沿着 North Little Rock 的 River Trail 一直到Downtown，然后过
桥，从 Little Rock 回来。 全程大概14 mile左右。
上周的洪水果然凶猛，Big Dam Bridge 北边的路还是封着的，桥下面的小路仍浸没在
水中。
Trail 旁边的树和牌子都被洪水冲倒了。
这个据说是Canadian goose，也在河边活动，而且总是一对大的带几只小的，一家子一
起散步，真是温馨。
路上都是泥土，洪水留下的印记。
河边树木还浸泡在江水中。
走到这里就已经有点累了。。。
这也不知道是个什么遗址，还是洪水或者龙卷风留下的杰作。
这个图案看似涂鸦，但在好几个地方都见到，是什么意思呢？

虽然是揭秘，不过是捕风捉影，没有任何数据和实验的支持，而且也和我们的地理知识
相互冲突。所以需要特地为此驳斥一下：
陆地主要水源主要来自于季风携带的水蒸气。冷暖空气相遇造成降雨或者降雪。季风高
度在10几公里到几公里（高原地区）。所以几百米高的建筑对降雨是根本没有影响的。
如果因此就能阻止降雨，那么上海，北京周围岂不是暴雨成灾？
三峡建成水库，实际上就是形成大面积的水面，但是说大，也才1000余平方公里，它对
地区气候会有影响，但是如果能影响到整个长江流域就太夸张了。相比三峡水库，洞庭
湖面积从将近3000平方公里猥琐到800多平方公里，鄱阳湖从将近4000平方公里萎缩到
1300平方公里，这才更严重。怎么不把严酷天气都算到这些湖身上？三峡水库建立之前

同样奇葩的新闻。
