signature, is this good enough to use?
The first time he used his university's letterhead but didn't sign, so I
asked him again for a signature. Now he's giving me a digital signature, I
suppose it's okay, and I really don't want to bother him again.
I want to be sure, though, has anyone used a letter with digital signature
before? Thanks! |

至于签名, 有digital signature最好, 实在没有, 换个字体, 或者用斜体就可以了.
再复杂一点就是打印出来再扫描, 或者Fax. |

一页实在是写不了什么东西，因为推荐人的自我介绍就占了半页。 再加上

I think you can ask him/her first. Most professors are fine with these, but
people in industry or government labs might have concerns about using
official letterhead, which we should understand. This did not become a

但是签名不是手签的， 好像是用鼠标在paint里画的， 然后贴在签名的地方。
所以签名看起来很生硬，

，就必须提供有雇主letterhead 的 employment letter以证明你相关领域的工作对你
来说还available。而且必须提供薪水。
那个PDF文档不知道为什么不能copy/paste，你自己去看好了。
重点不是你有没有工作，而是你是不是还在相关领域工作，在校PHD也是在相关领域阿

EB1B, etc.
You can read the 485 instructions page 4, 11. B.
"If your Form I-485 is related to an employment-based visa petition (Form I-
140), you must submit a letter on the letterhead of the petitioning employer
which confirms that the job on which the visa petition is based is still
available to you. The letter must also state the salary that will be paid."

residency（住院医培训），同时也做了一点research。但是如果要雇主出employer
letter的话，较难扯到research上;但是如果收到485 RFE的话，我可以找人出封信证明
我现在也有做research。所以可以的话现在不想交employer letter。
而且官方instructions上原文是：If your form I-485 is related to an employment
-related petition (I-140),you must submit a letter on the letterhead of the
petitioning employer which confirms the job the visa petition is based is
still available to you. 在我的case中，petitioner是我自己，并不是我的employer

Also, the administration positions are just one aspect. You can also talk
about his publications, editorship, etc. That's even better evidence on his
expertise to evaluate you and your work.
If he can use the university letterhead, that looks nice, but he can
definitely use blank letter paper, as well.
