这几年来USCIS每年发的H1B签证是85000个，可能提交的申请超过这个数，但是因为有
被拒的（也就是不合格者不占名额）？还是USCIS只接受前85000个申请者，然后就看这
85000个材料，最后根据情况发N个签证，剩下的85000-N个被拒？
额，我自己也觉得比较绕……套在lottery就是，先抽出85000个，然后review材料，如
果有不合格的人空出名额之后，再用Lottery抽出，直到能填满85000个H1B名额为止？

premium processing. 是大公司，只要lottery抽的上，正常情况下H1b应该会批。这个
月又收到某商学院Ph.D的offer，要求4月15号之前给答复。我更倾向于工作，但想用
PhD来备胎。万一lottery抽不中什么的。
我现在在担心万一H1b要lottery，4月15号也不可能知道抽签结果，那我要怎么答复那
个学校呢？
（1）有没有可能拖两个礼拜答复呢？请问有没有人有经验。
（2）如果我跟学校说接受offer，学校给我出I-20，会跟我的H1b申请有冲突吗？如果
后来我没去，会有什么后果吗？

这种情况都看不清楚, 走到哪里都会碰壁.
stem法案是给stem(Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics首字母合写)类
专业的人才快速办绿卡之类的，就是吸引高学历的人留在美国工作。但是多次表决都无
法通过，经常被民主党否决。
STEM绿卡的名额是直接从Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery这边拿走的。通过了这个法案
，就意味着DV Lottery的绿卡会减少5万个名额。DV Lottery是按地区不平均分配的，
12年非洲人民拿走其中的50%，欧洲人拿走30%。来念STEM大多是亚州人, 所以Lamar
Smith的这个STEM绿卡的提案如果通过，非洲人来美国的机会会大大减少。
选举的时候95%非洲人民的票投往民蛆党. 为了自己的权力和利益, 为了民蛆党的一统
天下, 不搞死你们这些高学历的, 当然绝无可能.
另外非洲裔和亚裔在美国谁的人数比较多，不讨好非裔, 难道讨好亚裔?

lottery是比较缓和的。也许更能被人接受。中印没有lottery真的太受歧视了。每年这
么多中国留学生来美国上学给他们创造了多少经济收益。连个lottery都没有。
绿卡就是个身份而已。找工作面试不还得看有没有本事吗？美国的绿卡政策根本就不是
为了限制外来人口数量，根本就是最大化为资本家牟利。堂而皇之的借口。一口说移民
抢了饭碗，一口又想方设法限制移民。其实给了绿卡，让移民可以真正和美国人竞争，
反而才能让市场更公平。在当下，合法移民老实工作，踏实勤奋，整天看老板颜色也不
敢说啥。而美国人呢，今天不爽明天找下家，跟老板提条件，涨工资，涨title，形式
这么明朗，傻子才不会雇佣合法移民。

据说5月卖,但到现在MODEL HOME还没开始建.这是目前唯一的新COMMUNITY.
其实也不是"新的"楼盘, 就是去年已经登记了150+BUYER的CALAROSA II. 总共98
个房子,后来不知道怎么给KB HOME得到了. CALAROSA的SALES极其郁闷, 150+ BUYER登
记了,不愁卖,和拣钱一样.一开始说去年12月开始卖,后来说一月份开始卖,后来忽然就没
了,只好把MODEL HOME也卖了. 登记排队的人也白等了.
我在1月份得到的更新是"LOW MID-700K, LOTTERY" 但是利益最大化,KB HOME会那么傻.
何况现在SIDE-YARD的房子都从75W起卖,到5月份KB HOME还会按1月份的计划从72.5W卖
吗? 如果5月从72.5W开卖,那肯定会减少每次RELEASE的房数,增加RELEASE的次数(每月
一次RELEASE改成2次,每次RELEASE6个房子改为3个),每次RELEASE加价2W, 这样4次

Magic要价太高的话主打新秀看谁成器了。都不中用的话就摆烂靠Lin一个人买票了，明

season. Patterson has been here for 3 seasons now. He knew the system. He
knew his role. And he had EXPERIENCE. TRob is raw, raw, raw.

最近真是流年不利，诸事不顺。家里老爸身体不好，加拿大这个该死的医疗系统碰上急
症简直要人命。回国抢时间开刀奔波了一个多月，术后想留在国内又怕老爸起疑心，强
装笑脸告别。临走那天早上医生查房，一个小医生嘴快说了两句真实病情，我赶紧把话
岔开，长这么大第一次起了杀人的心。临走老爸哭了，我不知道他是舍不得我走还是听
到自己的病情，我也不敢问，路上24小时没合过一分钟眼，心情那个黑暗...
回来俩礼拜，时差+担心，天天睡不着几小时。刚刚好一点，LD这几天H1B lottery，看
着周围的朋友同事都抽到了，自己音信全无，心情可想而知。其实h1B没有就没有了，
LD怕冷，我除了Patriots对这个城市国家没有什么特别的眷恋，只是她很喜欢现在的工
作。在h1b那个版上看到那么多像LD一样努力的小孩子为了这个狗屁lottery那么煎熬，
我就觉得出离的愤怒和无奈。
美国+中国都在抽lottery。中国那边的odds要差好多，而且so much more on the line
...
过去几天真的有点喘不过气的感觉，动不动不由自主的叹气，惹得LD老问我叹什么气。

would present problem for planning. Don't know how far ahead
do they announce the lottery result.
Can we organize a team first, so that we could have over 12 people
sign up for the lottery to have a good chance to enter the relay?
Do they allow that?

it's a lottery in many ways, but don't assume a lottery is even chance to
anyone. in dan's example, he used WSOP, and said pros have a money edge even
before the first card is dealt, because of their deep pockets. we may
barely afford a ticket here, they can afford X tickets easily.
skill plays another role in this lottery too, or we're looking at a 1%
chance one, but pros are looking at a 5% one.
