了重发。我今天是第一次在贵版发帖，也查了半天有没有相关的帖子，但不知是我太笨
没查到还是真的没有，所以再问一下。
我想开个capital one360的cd账户，他们网站上要求公民或permanent resident才行，
要在那个问题打勾。我虽然140批了但还在等排期，如果打勾开了账户，以后cd到期时
取钱时会不会有问题呢？我在discover试了一下他们也是一样要求是公民或绿卡。
我知道各位可能经常看到相似的问题，我也查了半天有没有相似问题的答案，但是真的
没查到。如哪位能给解答一下或告诉我到哪里去看相似问题的帖子，不胜感谢。我理财
方面特别弱智，多谢各位指点了。 |

我们去年开始买了30年的term life insurance,当然term的话就意味着这个钱都扔进去
了，没有回报率，也不希望有回报（除非死亡）
Permanent Life Insurance跟Whole Life insurance稍有不同，但是我还是没看出本质
的不同。是不是好的投资方式呢？
大家有什么心得？关键我无法google到一个中性客观的评价，要么说特别特别好，都是
宣传性的，要么就是说多么 多么不好。我很想得到比较客观的评价。

今天老板给我offer,说想create一个permanent的position.
钱不多，大概5w加一些benefit.
然后老板继续忽悠，说以后可以自己写proposal要钱，这样可以提成
还有position title也可以自己想。
我的意向是，不可能在这边呆太久，5年最多了。
最终还是想回国找一个位置或者在美国找一个独立的位置。
想跟老板谈，但是不知道什么title比较好，还有怎样对回国发展最有利？
还有我该注意点什么？还有什么跟老板商讨的。
老板的意思说可以协助办绿卡。
对美国这种制度不是很了解，想请各位帮忙解答一下。

上填的是我还是non-immigrant，如果今天送去中信代签， 等审理的时候我算
permanent resident 还是 non-immigrant？ 需要重填160表吗？ |

我的理解是：
permanent的万一lay off，绿卡就得重新再来，如果是contractor的话，由consulting
firm来sponsor 绿卡，如果当中换新的client 公司，绿卡申请还是延续的。对不对？
contractor比较麻烦的是老是要搬家。 但是目前绿卡更重要。。 请懂行的人指点一

最近拿到一个马州政府PERMANENT职位，工资还没有现职位高，马州也是本人喜欢的州。
所在联邦机构的另一个组可能给我签一个4年合同(不用一年年续约了)，期间就可拿到
公民。
自己纠结了：
1) 是马州政府，工资低，非RESEARCH， 但PERMANENT，州政府, 有保障,履历在申请联
邦时好看一些？
2) 继续四年联邦CONTRACTOR， 但以后有了CITIZEN 也未必有联邦职位？
本人已过不惑之年，有孩子家庭，也看重稳定。 |

教授帮忙让学校给办EB1b。
pp到NSC，IO-0450给了个RFE，因为看到我的合同有
截止日期到明年，而且是funding-contingent。
IO要求两类材料。
1.现在的funding有多长时间了，并证明以后会一直有
funding。
2.我们学校关于这种research associate的规定，算不算
permanent position。
各位有没有类似经验？
第一条挺难补充的，我的老板在这个funding之前很久没有funding，
2014年后也暂无后续funding，如果只说将来一定会有，IO能接受吗？
第二条由学校human resource出个permanent position的
employment verification letter够不够？还不明确学校关于这种
position的规定到底什么样。

基本上是HR就能搞定，
1.现在的funding有多长时间了，并证明以后会一直有
funding。
说明一下现在这个funding有多长时间，然后说这是个连续项目，目前结果很好，在继
续申请第二期/后续funding
主要是用办法证明你老板/系部有足够的资金雇佣你三年或以上。
2.我们学校关于这种research associate的规定，算不算
permanent position。
这个是HR需要翻他们HANDBOOK的事情，他们会搞定，
主要是证明你们学校research associate is a permanent basis position. |

说工资总数。并且有这么一句话，
“Research faculty appoinments are intended to offer a faculty career
pathway to individuals with experience and scholarly qualifications
comparable to regular faculty members in the same rank and in the same
professional area. Research Faculty may serve as principle investigators or
project directors on research awards and are expected to seek independent
external funding.”

今天秘书跟他说，这个title的overhead比较高，也就是说我工资不变的话

他说要不给我转成research associate，让我赶快申了绿卡，然后再转回来
我怕我现在条件还不够 （review只有7个），就说要不在等几个月，他就很不高兴，觉
得我要求真多
我想确认一下，是不是EB1B只要有个permanent job的title，然后雇主给个信表示支持
就好了？

解释NIW豁免了"permanent labor certification"，所以没必要有permanent
employment. 如果傻叉还没完没了，找个律师跟他们交涉。等你的案子结了，或许可以

，晚上戴，这种缺点是小孩容易丢了retianer，或偷懒不戴，优点是用牙线方便。
有的医生是只用permanent retainer的，就是上面和下面中间6个牙齿分别用个wire固
定在后面，这种和上面那种相反，好处是孩子不会忘记戴retainer, 但坏处是不容易用
牙线，用permanent retianer的几个牙根部附近容易长牙结石。
请问大家给孩子一般是选用哪种retainer的医生？多谢。 |
