I took that course from both CS and Stat. The only difference i can feel is,
statistical learning course is more like math flavor with lots of theories
and formulas; ML course is closer to engineering flavor with more pictures
and intuitive explanations. |

率非常高了，网上就有很多人站出来劝退CS（因为我当年也考虑过转专业的问题），但
是现在过去这么多年了，你看CS的需求量还是这么大，很多公司对CS的fresh要求也很
低，身边的CS的朋友还没有谁找不到工作的。这一点，非常符合很多人想找一个工作的
想法和要求。当然，至于这个工作boring与否，有没有发展前景，工资高低，这就见仁
见智了，而且与个人情况有极大的关系。总之，从entry level或者junior level上来
说，CS比STAT好多了，而且估计会一直好下去。

下生成的都是乱码。如果在32bit的环境下（操作系统兼stat transfer 32bit)转换的

Here is the thing, I used history data to drive a empirical distribution, it
could be dicrecte, or I can smooth using kde to make it continuous. Do you
think it is necessary to smooth the discrete distribution to continuous?
If so, I will not use k-s stat test. |

funding after the first year is not stable.
If the goal is to find a job, I recommend Bio-Master of Harvard if he/she
has enough financial support~ More chances in Harvard.
However, if he/she wants to jump into other area, say quant, SB PhD programm
is a better choice, you will have plenty of free time to prepare for the
interviews.
One thing to note, since the OPT is used once, he/she can not apply OPT

工作还是很好找的，因为program对这点特别看重，面试机会非常多，起薪也不错
如果你有绿卡的话很好找。。。去年fresh平均起薪大概是9W吧

但是最后结果正确，但是工作中是不能这样搞的
因为r比python还要慢非常多，python已经很慢了
可以简单认为，r没有做任何的优化，python有做部分的优化，但是远远不够
对于海量数据，jvm虽然也不快，但是比起r和python，那已经是光速了
学c就意味着你要自己学会各种优化，乖乖，这个难度非常非常大
我觉得你投入20年，可能能有点小成
还有就是，python如果不想搞的话，可以看看scala
scala比java难，难很多，但是至少这样可以上jvm和spark这些
然后你再对比r，看看spark上的mllib少了什么，虽然我觉得这本身就不是一回事

1. 总记录是18：10，纳豆占优。泥地交手14次，12：2；其余14次，6：8.
2. 04-07交手14次，8：6，泥地7次，6：1，其余7次，2：5.
3. 08-12交手14次，10：4，泥地7次，6：1，其余7次，4：3
4. 两段时期纳豆各有一次5连胜。前一次是4场泥地加上迪拜，后一次是3场泥地加上温
网和澳网。
我的看法：
1. 不管你怎么辩，这个记录对老费不可能有利。虽然记录的一边倒主要是因为纳豆在
红土上的无敌，但总体上老费在其它场地并没有能找回多少场子，尤其是在自己的巅峰
期，纳豆刚出来时就输了迈阿密和迪拜。作为对比，小德在红土上同样是2：13落后，
但在硬地上以10：4领先，总的记录就不是那么难看了。如果当初老费那两场能拿下（
按当时的实力应该是可以的），那么记录也会好看点；可惜没有如果，所以奶粉不要怪
纳豆不给老费机会，而应该怪老费自己轻敌。
2. 08以后，老费开始下坡，而纳豆步入巅峰，这时老费不仅在泥地打不过，在其它场

的，弄得我一身冷汗。先做一下自我介绍本人31了，2009年毕业于国内一普通大学2E专
业。来美国5年了一直做全职，现在宝宝也快2岁了。我和老公的绿卡正在排期，大概是
两年后能排到，所以想现在学点东西到时候找个工作。我现在的想法就是只要毕业能找
到工作就好。真怕花了老公大把银子最后还是家庭主妇。哦对了忘交代了，我的英语水
平是一般。教育宝宝都是全中文的。我的问题主要有2个方面。
1.学统计从事哪个方向的就业机会多啊？我看有学生物统计去药厂的，有在银行和保险
公司的。看有人说药厂的工作经验到换工作的时候是很难转的。那什么方向的工作经验
是越久越光明呢？
2学校的curriculum上有好多课程，有经验的兄弟姐妹们能帮我看看哪些课程的实用性
强么？里边有的应该是phd的课程，不知道我能不能选呢。我把一些我觉的不用选的和
不能选的课程删掉了。小硕就是10门课。

选了一家2，3流的大学去读ms stat，因为有夜晚课程和省钱，适合找实习。
现在9月快开学了，本来想走pharma这bio-stat条路， 但又不太想浪费自己经济的背景
。现在坚决走ms stat的路。
我有空就看看sas和credit risk的书，想干credit risk analyst银行类的工作。
但发现学校cut budget，有些课貌似近期不会有了（很多选修课）。。。。（选了这学
校这个后悔）
想问一下如果想干credit risk analyst信用风险需要什么课程。
