既然是stats和applied math，再出些理论paper，还是很有机会的
machine learning在stats和cs做得是不一样的，stats的只关注很理论的结果，
practical的东西不是很care的
如果你ld现在才开始灌cs的paper，一这不是你ld研究的style，二短时间内数量也拼不
过那些累积多年的 |

Besides, only a handful schools have dept of Biostat. But many schools
have only Stat.
I major in Biostat but all the courses I took in Stat count.
As for epid class, only 3 courses are required in our dept. I don't know
the case in other schools, but most students in my program really don't
care about them. A score like B+ in EPID course is very common.
So my suggestion is still, if you want to do theory, go to STAT, if you

CS？programmer？不太想做，要想做四年前就去Goog、MSFT了。当年编程俺也是小牛一
头。
IT公司搞Stats？在银行混了四年，基本已经跟IT公司格格不入了。电面过Goog的Stats
职位，派出一Stanford的sb老印来面俺，态度非常傲慢，尽情把俺给羞辱了一顿之后拒
掉。Amzn就更狠，明明面Analyst职位，竟然派出个SDE来面，狂问俺SE的问题ft，根本
就是话不投机，被拒。eBay和FB石沉大海，投了根本没人理。结论就是IT公司对商业银
行背景的人没什么兴趣。
md，你们说的很对，辛辛苦苦混了这些年还不如刚毕业的，真不够丢人的。
早知道这样当年直接回国了，估计现在儿子都会打酱油了。 |

做emergency的。
你这个是对于存在2级加热的heat pump的t-stat。而常见的heat pump似乎主要是1级的
，你这个t-stat并不适用。而针对1级hp的t-stat就存在我说的问题。 |

发帖数: 5901 | 7 其实我说的那个heat pump setback导致启动resistance并不是因为t-stat把2nd stage
和emergency用一根线。对于压缩机只有1级加热的hp,resistance就是即是2nd stage，
又是emergency。所以用一根线是合理的。
问题所在是t-stat智能太低。有时候你手动把温度调高，就是想启动二级，让温度快点
上来，而有时候是因为setback造成温差大。t-stat无法区分这个差别。而且也不能简
单地设置成只要setback就禁用2级，因为温度太低的时候禁用2级温度根本上不来。 |

，而不是24V，上阁楼一看carrier空调里3A保险丝烧了，找了youtube，看着换个保险
丝也不难，想着晚上要休息，就把楼下zone的好的保险丝换上来，插上T stat面板发现
还是无法启动，发现新换的保险丝也断了，试问imore 版主和各位行家，这个怎么破？ |

BA: Batting Average, H/AB, the most common used stat but maybe the least
useful among these stats. Well, it's useful to generate publicity and your
access to HOF, maybe. Some ppl think high BA means good contact, but that's
not true. Many player with tons of whiffs can still generate high BA anyway.
SecA: Secondary Average, (TB-H+SB-CS+BB)/AB, this is a good supplement to BA.

I guess you haven't heard of UZR, the latest defensive stats.
Unlike other versions of UZR, the ones that appear on FanGraphs use Baseball
Info Solutions location data instead of STATS location data. Also, this UZR
data does not currently include outfield arms and double plays are treated
as regular outs. Here are the definitions for all the UZR stats available:
DG (defensive games): The number of outs made by an average fielder at his

current stats in other category like ERA, IP, K... to beats CC in CY award.
Last time in MLB a pitcher gets 25win is 1990, and that pitcher, although
with not good other stats like ERA, finally got the CY.
BTW, #win contains at least one objective value that other stats don't have,
that is stadium factor.

Hester had two more returns for TD that were not counted in the above stats. One is the missed field goal against NYG (108 yards as you mentioned) and one is the SB kickoff return against Colts (post season kickoff returns do not count in the stats).
So the real total should be 16.

候这两个stats会有提高。我觉得提高跑姿有帮助，还有就是pace快了自然这些stats都
会提高。另外我的经验是穿cushion高的跑鞋这两个stats都不是特别好。 |

通跑鞋滞重不少。看起来像是nyc3的cushion太厚了，在180步频下反弹不够快，反而拖
泥带水了。当时买的时候店员看我是菜鸟，推荐了这款，看来不够好。我觉得cushion
厚的适合步频低的选手，步频高脚力好的估计需要薄底鞋。不知这样理解对不对？

突然好了呢？有没有数据做依据呢？其实除了他成绩突然好了之外，没有数据说他体力
好。成绩好了是因为他本来技术就在那里，一个心理因素，一个是饮食引起的过敏因素
，而找到所谓过敏因素其实很大程度也在心理上给小德以暗示，就是他从前总差那么一
口气，其实是心理有些小脆弱，现在心理上找到所谓的“原因”，突破了，然后就闯过
去了。
TT上有个thread，我觉得还是比较有说服力的，大家如果要批评就针对这个thread进行
批判，不要用什么其实大家心里都清楚来暗示好像所有人都同意蛰伏期过后运动员成绩
变好就是doping相关，我就不那么认为。纳豆伤退是因为吃药怕查出了，小德一直在打
是因为吃药体力变好，没查出来是因为吃的要太高级了，还没有上禁药list。这样的话
，不管你是不是坚持在打，都是因为吃药，我看这么推下去，离凡是自己不喜欢的运动
员，就都是吃了药的，这样结论就不远了。当然，bbs本来就是很多人都蒙着脸，所以
说话不用负责任，想怎么说就怎么说呗，特别是自己不爽的时候，说点泄泻私愤的话，
