从书里学的可不可以应用到现实生活上去。这才是读书的目地。
好的书不是教会读者什么知识，而是读的人究竟能不能领会这书里要表达的。小说是怡
情，情色令人脸红，可是读这些书的感觉如何，自己才知道。读新闻使人知道窗外发生
什么事情。人与人，与世界，之间的关系是“知识”的中心，快乐的源泉。孤立是人最
大的敌人。。大方面的有国与国之间关系差，就会被对方孤立，一个国家与大多数国家
为敌，这个国家被孤立。。小方面的是两个朋友成为敌人就会想尽办法使对方和自己的
一切孤立。。牢房的囚犯犯错最重的惩罚是孤立关黑房。。
还记得这书里有说，那些离家出走的家庭主妇最大的原因是因为在家里得不到对方的赞

加州一直以前卫著称，正面的前卫比如高科技，我们从美西搬到美东，这一点深有体会

前卫的负面或者说有些不舒服的地方呢，比如加州对同性恋一直走在大部分州对此的观
念之前。记得大约两年前，加州有人试图让同性恋结婚合法化，引起很多保守派和宗教
团体的有组织的抗议。那时我所认识的相同或不同教会的兄弟姐妹几乎都统一口径说“
为了我们孩子的将来”我们坚决反对同性恋。曾经在居住的小城里看见同性恋者高举着
牌子寻求他们的权益，我问身旁的两个孩子对此有何看法，当时是一个小学生和一个初
中的的一女一子对我说这些人应该得到他们的自由和权力。我的“上帝不喜悦”和为人
父母为子女担忧之说显然对在加州那样前卫开放的环境中长大的孩子是苍白无力的。

e 1-yr old baby and grandpa. Mom and baby got killed.
That teenager was probably picking things from floor or texting. Don't know
for sure. It's in a community with low speed limit.
The media was quite sympathetic to both sides. Not much anger on that Americ
