Yes, co-PI counts as PI and you will lose the New Investigator Status.

wouldn't ask for a co-PI and lose the NIS.

发帖数: 346 | 6 是一个小U01，分给我最多150k每年吧，比R01少。那我是不是应该要求Co-I或
subcontract。这样还能分到这么多钱么，谢谢回复。

发帖数: 341 | 7 new Investigator benefit does not mean the money. If you can count as a PI,
it is very helpful with your tenure. whatever, getting money in is the most
important. 150k per year is not a small money. if they just give a small
money, maybe just set you as co-investigator.
