lately i've been making fairly good progress on LHR training - HR is down
more than 10 bpm since july while pace has picked up steadily. but my
arthritis pain has come back last week! it's the kind of pain that is dull
and hard to pinpoint the exactly location. it's clearly different from
runner's knee where i can tell extractly where the pain is, or ITBS.
with morning temperature in the 30s and 40s, i always wear a pair of
tights, and i don't feel much pain or cold while i'm running. but my legs
feel COLD the rest of the day, even on the days i don't run, eve when i wear
tights inside jeans.
i have arthritis pain in the past mostly around the beginning of winter, but
this is the first time i experience it more than a couple days since i
started running more than 2 yr ago. i wonder if anyone here has similar
experience or has any advice. i plan to keep running at a slow pace (as i'm
a true snail) unless the pain interferes my run directly.

,怎么吃下去无所谓,关于用量自己慢慢尝试,以没有胃部不适应为准,可以泡茶里,
炒菜里,煮汤里,或者就是切片生吃(效果应该最好),天天坚持,一来生姜有一定的
消严止痛作用,二来生姜有促进血液循环的作用,这就可以让身体肌肉暖和起来。我现
在长跑完就吃些,觉得挺好的,准备组建过渡到直接吃生的:D

Miyami,不许嘲笑我母校.
@Tianma, 找个骨科医生先明确诊断吧. osteoarthritis 还真是挺讨厌的, 跑步对OA 是益还是害, 也没有定论的. 另外, 腿冷有可能是血管, 尤其是动脉的问题. 也是aging related.

1) try 'move free' (which can be purchased in costco etc) 2 tablets a day
for two weeks, one tab / day after two weeks

Better see a doctor.
Other than that, eat more anti-inflammation food, such as ginger, turmeric,
kale ...

谢各位关心指点,MOVE FREE 是一直在吃的,一天一粒,准备改俩粒了。生姜从来没这
么吃过,准备试试。用兽医博士的专业术语, 这叫田马当活马医 :D
我这个毛病从小就有,一年里只发几次,多在冬季,更像是风湿性关节炎(RA),不像是
骨性关节炎(OA)。下次见医生, 让他给拍张片子看看。
最近突然很喜欢吃羊肉,吃了身体暖暖的,腿特别舒服。看来真是人老了,自然规律扛
不过啊!

RA usually affects small joints first. Knee problem is less common in RA
patients.

just read some threads on another running forum,it appears that dehydration
and low blood sugar may be blamed for after run chills. with the cooling
temperature, i pay little attention to hydration b/c i don't feel thirsty.
also, with pressing time in the morning,i often run w/ an empty-stomach.
both may contribute to the chills.
i will take at least a bar before run and hydrate more ofter and see if
things turn around.
