took me a while to get used to the summer weather. When I decided to run CIM
, my training time was shorter than 18 weeks while longer than 12 weeks. I
decided to continue my easy run and then started the 12 week Advanced
Marathon training.
Although I targeted on 3:40:00, I had many difficulties through the program,
especially the Marathon pace run and the earlier workout.
But baiji's qmd was with me in many of my run. It says like this: it is like
going through a tunnel, you pushed more and more and you found more and
more (please refer to his qme-:p). I always asked myself: do you have more?
Some good signs from this training:
1.I found I can recover in about two days. Even sometimes after a long run,
I am worried about my legs. Often surprised, I could run again on Tuesday.
Also I used stationary bike as my cross training. I felt it helped a lot
because of the wide motion, although xiaolong said that may lead to ITB-:)
2.My mock tune-up race 8 mile for 1:01:27.55 (pace 7:41) exactly one month
before CIM.
3. My dress rehearsal on Wed. with 2 mile MP felt not very difficult. Before
that, I always have difficult to run a MP...
For all the above reasons, when baiji asked me how much chance I have to BQ
on Sat., I said 50%-:)
I need to thank our local blackhorse for running with me many times during
this phase. I realized all the run with him was faster than those I run by
