just for fun. One time I hit my 3 wood to 330. It was dogleg to right. I hit
a low shot like a bullet to the right and catched the first bounce on cart
path. It ended 30 yard to pin. I double bogeyed the hole because the green
is supper fast, the pin is front. I tried to hit a lob shot and failed. The
ball ended up long pass the green. I have to chip back and three putts.
Sometimes longer does not mean better.

好成绩是bogey. 经常入水罚球 +3 +4 都拿过。昨天下午居然两杆上岭，birdie

Since I just birdie a similar hole, boundary oaks #8, 335 from blue tee. no
water in front of green, but water is along right hand-side fairway.
Against wind, I drove 260, and 80 to pin with full swing of 56 degree.
Recently there is no rain, the green was hard and very fast, others play
save with hybrid tee off, with 150 left, ball can not stop on the green,
roll to back rough. 1 chip, 2 putts, bogey.

发帖数: 1917 | 5 去的是我们附近的一个比较有名的Pete Dye设计的球场，没敢打最长的黑Tee（7100多
码 76/146），打的是第二长Tee(6800码 74/142). 刚下完雨，果岭没往常快，但是很
tricky。球道很湿，实际距离显得比6800长不少。
先说Bad News，91杆结束，是最近几次在这个场地的最高杆数。第13洞五杆洞打丢两个
球，然后又在果岭两边来回窜了两回，12杆，好几年没有在一个洞打出这么高杆数了。
当时一定是打昏了头，以至于下两洞一个加三，一个加四，体验了一把什么叫做一夜回
到解放前。
把Bad News排除，当然剩下的就是好消息了。开局一连7个Par，头九+2，最后两个三推
，否则头九就平par了。第11洞Par3, 198码到果岭中心，215码到旗杆，而且旗杆差在
沙坑后边果岭右后角，直线打旗杆要carry 200以上。打了一个大概是平生最漂亮的4号
铁，球停在旗杆侧面7尺处，推进了birdie。这是后九洞唯一亮点。
同去的一个哥们大学年代是校棒球队的，上身非常强壮，打出了几个三百多码的drive

发帖数: 4031 | 7 玩高球，成绩起伏是正常的，尤其是在高难度的场子，成绩起伏太正常了。我的经验是
，要是double bogey or worse比较多，拿再多的鸟，成绩也不会好。因此，难打的洞
和场子，我相对在开球的时候比较保守，这样久而久之，我的开球倒是相对稳定了。开
球上球道率超过了70%，penalty自然少了。

发帖数: 10701 | 10 这轮打的比较solid。 要不是因为是在比赛，多少有些紧张导致的几个低级错误外，也
许还能更好。
一个低级错误是10 feet for birdie， 让我推成了bogey。
还有就是一个不到130码的approach shot，竟然让我算成了比130码多，拿了9iron。
我铁杆，无论从wedge还是到5iron， 从来没这么精确过。
而我一向最自信的driver， 大部分时间让我挺失望。
我知道主要原因是我以前driver swing 动作很忙，现在是近期打了点tennis， 腿部力
量更强后，也击球更使劲了。
还是打比赛打得少呀。 |

发帖数: 1656 | 11 第一次打这个场子，打front nine时很小心，不求有功,但求无过. 七个bogey, 一个
double, 一个par. back nine 又想抓鸟，成绩起伏就大了。一堆2bogey+.
2 个penalty, 第十一洞par 5 dogleg to left 在200 码左右拐弯, 左边是OB. 求稳妥
用3W 开球, 结果slice 进右边rough, 找3分钟找不到。第十四洞球打到 fence 边上，
unplayable lie.
第十七洞 +3 是因为有点体力不支，两次mis-hit。八点多了，没吃东西。幸好最后一
洞打得不错，算是close on a high note.
今天short game非常好。beat 自己的handicap 完全靠short game. |

拿了3个par, 3 bogeys（其中一洞3putts), 2 double(每个洞都有一个+2的ob), 1
blow up(2 ob 加上运气不好， 树干边， 又进沙坑， 3putts).
算8 penalty strokes 正好50. 感觉击球提高很多， 3wood 和5/6 i都用上了。ob 损
伤得分太多。即使这样也比我调整前的得分好些。
第一ob 是在第四洞想把driver 调直， 结果调过度pull left. 其他ob 也是pull left.
调整的主要体会是 上杆时球杆跟手臂的角度（感觉有个最佳角度，不合适的角度容易
导致球杆跟身体转动脱节，特别手腕乱动） |

我平时打的另外一个球场 69.7/113， 都是60一下的，有几次差点破了50.
就像上周 6,4,5,7,8,10,4,5,5 = 54
第5洞是par5, 4杆上了GREEN，结果4推。非常郁闷，直接影响下一个洞。
第六洞par4, 打丢2个球，算上罚杆，共10杆。
还后最后3洞调整心态，都打出了bogey.
明天再去打一次，看能不能破掉50.。。 |

play from Blue Tee (About 7100 yards, 137 slope). With my distance, I only
hit 3 or 4 GIRs. Eventually I got 96. Very glad to break 100 on this venure.
This is a LONG course - only two Par 4s below 400 yards. It does not look
that difficult at the first glance. But you have to know which side of the
fairway to hit. The No. 7 (Par 4, 445 yards) is No. 1 handi hole, slightly

我的目标是Bogey，争取Par。打白梯会让这些洞好打一点，但解决不了根本的问题。还

Chipping is not an option, because of the bunker.
I need pitch out, over the bunker, (avoid the bunker), and there is not much
of room to work with, and I need land it short, since the pin was just over
the bunker.
I didn't execute it well. it went over and run far from pin. Pitching from
green is not as easy as pitching out from rough. Since I have to avoid
damaging the green, it is harder than I thought.

点差一点儿掉沟里. chip +2 putts.
想安全bogey 结果double.
所以也许第二杆直接攻更好. |

Played that course 4 times, first 3 times from blue 378 yards, last time
from Black 397 yards
First time, I was hitting to the right, on fairway, 140 to the green, right
in front of green, there was a dry creek, An oak tree on the side of dry
creek. Luckily, my ball go high enough over the tree, and landed on the
green, the back of the green since I was trying to avoid the dry creek. But
the pin was in the front, and it is a two tiers green, 3-putt, bogey.

我现在driver 200 carry 没问题。carry+roll 一般到220-230.
但这样就剩下150-180 码，对我而言就是5i, 4h, 5w, 3w 打approach. 一般我都上不
了果岭。这样就只能拿bogey average. 一两个洞没打好总杆数就 92-95。这也就是我
最近的情
形。
偶尔make up and down 甚至chip in 都是有的。但是80小几 -- 太难，基本不可能。
如果driver 可以carry 230, carry+roll 可以260-280， approach 就可以用 8i, 9i,
pw, GIR就会增加很多。80小几才可以打到。 |

6500 yards, Slope 129). The course was really really wet and cart path only.
Got in a foursome with a single-handi guy; left-handed. He drives more than
300 yards, and his 2i gets 260 yards - no club in between. It was quite an
awesome experience watching his tee shots, even though he likes to use 2i
more than his driver.
My driver can match his 2i. The guy was -2 after 6 holes and got 75; I ended
up with a 95.....

面差不多.开始一洞他拿BOGEY,加上距离好象一般,我没觉得他有多牛,同组的老美开杆
就280,非常吓人.但下面13洞,这中国哥们两鸟9PAR.最后打完我跟老美都是90多,他74.
后来跟他交换了电话.再后来跟另外一个朋友聊起来,他说他认识那哥门,70几是家常便
饭.

跟风写写2012的最后一场球.
Last Friday morning, walked El Dorado golf course with bag on my shoulders.
Finally I reached the goal I set for 2012 - walk a full-length course
carrying my bag. During the year, I walked quite a few rounds but all on the
shorter courses (Fullerton and Dad Miller). I played from blue tee with
three guys riding the golf carts. They offered to give me a ride after the
third, which I turned down.

不过加州冬天的场地很硬, 草也短,所以切坏了好几个,有一些在华州的打法不实用.比
如Lob等.加州场地更适合chip and run, 或者直接推.
不过tee shoot 真是长啊,3 wood 开球都二百四五. |

METROPOLITIAN LINKS.跟另外几个老美SINGLE拼凑了一组.BLUE TEE.开始三HOLE,一PAR
两BOGEY.但很快PACE就慢下来了,没洞都等待15分钟才能开球.连续DRIVER开球不好,前9
洞,47,后九洞感觉好多了,但是PUTTING又不好了,总共4个3PUTT.
唯一的亮点是17洞.
525YD.顺风,DRIVER 跟 5WOOD都很好,两上.
25FT PUTT FOR EAGLE,NARROWLY MISSED.第二个PUTT 5 FOOTER LIPPED OUT.
最中后9洞,51.全场,98.有好几个PENALTY. |

我也有XG2005一样的发现,其实第一次开球不追求距离的心态往往让开球更稳,更远.以
前par5总想两上,反而开球乱飞.其实par5两上的概率20%都不到.反而是降低要求,保par
为主,开完球后再分析,如果果岭在250码以内,没有hazard.当然可以冲一冲.反正到果岭
附近可以尝试one chip one putt.如果果岭附近有水,树林等,还是老老实实lay up, 然
后反而有birdie机会.
而且每一个洞的开球都是最重要的.开球好,最多是bogey. 开球不好就很难说了. |
