你们在芝加哥的，知道不知道这个charity呢。。
我是随机找一个charity啊。。。本来我是要找bipolar society的，但是没有找到！！！
将来，我小土豆要是有钱了，我一定要成立一个bioplar foundation,去治疗像我这样
无法有婚姻的人。。。我要让这些人感到社会的温暖，社会没有抛弃他们。
我以前毕业的时候，我是想，将来我小土豆有钱了，我一定要给我的 zoology dept设
立一个奖学金。。。
可惜啊，我现在估计穷得要领福利了。。。。我要做Real science..我草你麻痹啊。。
我要做real science,, 我如果不回来读PhD就好了。。人生不能undo and redo...!!!

两者还是相互独立比较好
作为海外校友，实在是不方便捐款到 USTCIF，
而且 USTCAF 可以接受捐款人雇主公司的 match
所以 USTCIF 不要总是跟 USTCAF 打岔
这样校友才放心

目前Chase正同过Facebook举办一次慈善机构的Voting competition.排名前一百的
charity会得到$25,000的奖金.
The Hometown Education Foundation (HEF) 是Wisconsin大学杨同海教授发起的,专门
帮助中国贫穷山区中小学生的一个慈善机构.(Detailed info can be found at http://www.hometowneducation.org/).在成立几年来,HEF已经帮助了数百的贫穷孩子.
这次的competition还有30个小时结束(截止时间为星期二中午).HEF目前排在第70位,但
只领先第100名大约90票,所以并不能保证HEF最终就能排在前100名.
能否最终排在前100名而得到$25,000的奖金对那些需要帮助的山区贫苦孩子来说是是很
重要的.$25,000可以帮助到上百的贫穷中小学生.

'The 50 worst charities in America devote less than 4% of donations raised
to direct cash aid.'
前段时间地震时候似乎还讨论过这个话题。有人坚持认为美国的法律制度可以有效防止
慈善事业中的不良行为。好了，现在新闻来了。

发帖数: 48111 | 47 nyc这里有个老麦头， 创办了一个DOE fund, 通过救助训练有过犯罪记录的老黑工作，
直到他们能够自食其力， 然后提供给他们一份稳定的工作和住房。
但是这样的charity在美国很不popular, 除了理想主义者也没人去做。
做慈善的都选择简单的hand out型。
为什么？ 美国charity的最高纪录好像是一个B的fund, 只有0.4%的donation派下去给
福利了， 其他的都overhead.
这你妈郭美美们看见了肯定跪地拜服了。 |
