我孩子不到三岁，15个月因为发育滞后开始接受EI治疗，18个月时EI机构严重怀疑自闭
，排队几个月后21个月在美国top5的权威儿童医院拿到经典自闭的诊断之后一直接受强
度很大的各种训练。。我不常来逛这个坛子，因为我家孩子让我担心的地方，和这里家
长们通常讨论的东西，根本搭不上边。。大家在讨论怎么推娃，上什么兴趣班的时候，
我担忧的是怎么以后能够让娃生活自理，自立而不拖累这个社会，怎么学会和人交流（
说话都是其次的），奢侈点的想法是，怎么主流化，怎么能够自己有一个somewhat
meaningful的生活，父母离开人世的时候，也能让孩子可以有尊严的活着。我们这样家
庭的种种challenge，不是常人能够理解的，我也从没有奢望过普通父母能体会我们的
痛苦。。。但是看到了最近的热贴，有些id对我们这些可怜的家庭们的各种不太善意的
猜测，非常震惊。当然，也同时看到很多general ed， gifted ed的家长们的同情和爱
心，和让人温暖感动的话，在这里也想替我们这些家庭，谢谢你们的支持。

从去年的三月份起, 我就象进入了一个恶梦中.
我马不停蹄地联系了儿童医院和学区要求做development assessment.儿童医院的
waiting list竟然要8个月. 我问有没有可能快点,得到的答复是没办法,资源不够. 学
区相比还算快.本州法律规定必须两个月做完评估.从我联系学区后,学区做了一个非常
综合的评估, 包括educational, speech, physical, occupational, psychological
assessment. 既做了对孩子直接的测试,也有去他的幼儿园观察. 家长和老师都填了一
大堆问卷. 经历过漫长而心焦的两个月,终于到了report meeting了. 我和先生坐在学
区会议室里, 满怀希望地想要听到他们说我们大宝只是有些落后. Speech therapist.
physical therapist, occupaitonal therapist的抱告都作了.与我们想象的相吻合,没

的体力干不了那么狠，所以我从 parents actively engage 到 kid explore all by
himself / herself 的都有一些，parents engagement 的小时数也都有 quota。。。
但坏处就是，我家小娃现在都快 5 岁了，还一点都不会 reading，拿起书来只会看图
片。。。You get what you paid for 也是真理。。。

ring)，女方是不送男方钻戒的(看来只有男方向女方求婚了)。结婚时双方互赠素圈
戒指(称为wedding bands)，这才是以后生活中经常戴的戒指。wedding bands因为
便宜所以经常戴着也不用怕掉怕被抢，而engagement ring因为很贵所以一般都是在
某些场合才戴上的。
我上个月花了折合840元买了一对白金wedding bands，没有任何样式，就是一对圈
圈。需要说明的是白金不是铂金(platinum)，白金是white gold，还是gold的一种，
不过因为颜色是白的而与黄金(yellow gold)区分开来，价钱上白金和黄金是一样的，
都大大低于铂金的价格。另外需要说明的是要去好的商家买，以后若是圈圈的尺寸
不合适了还可以拿过去改尺寸。

发帖数: 32 | 40 关于H1B持有人是否使用AP、EAD的问题已经被问了无数次， 版主可不可以置顶一段时间。现在很多人都有EAD、AP但485还要1－2年才批，一个清晰的FAQ相信对大家都有益。
以下是我目前所了解的情况，有些地方我还有疑问，请大家补充，更正，我会及时更新：
以下先集中几个关键问题，一些常识以后补充：
（1）用了EAD，就是AOS，就不是H1B，不是non-immigrant了,这个大家都知道。
万一485出问题，你必须马上离开美国，这个虽然很麻烦但不可怕。
关键是Out of Status 的开始计算时间，因为这关系到3年/10年不得入境的条例。根据下面皮匠的blog以及他引用的USCIS的说明，OOS的开始时间是485被据那一天，而不是EAD使用的那一天。这样使用EAD就不用担心这个问题了。

我今天其实也call in了，我的感觉是uscis director他自己也很想把H4 ead赶紧弄出
来，但是somehow有股势力在阻止他这么做。他反复强调希望老印组织继续在网上
twitter啊，email啊摇旗呐喊h4 ead，这样他就能push这股势力来尽快执行h4 ead。
我们一直嫌弃老印，但从这事上，我看到了老印团结的力量，他们能在几天之内就团结
组织起来，通过一些网络手段引起uscis的注意并且使其照顾他们的利益,这点上还是值
