shift tax burden from red state to blue state的中产。
state都是高房贷,高地方税,高property tax,cap deduction后,blue state的中产

Payroll Tax Holiday Is Dead
For 2010-2012, the Social Security tax withholding rate on your salary was
temporarily reduced from the normal 6.2% to 4.2%. If you’re self-employed,
the Social Security tax component of the self-employment tax was reduced

For the last two years many businesses have been warning that because

Arizona, Nevada, new Mexico, Utah, Colorado,

The chief argument of those who advocate eliminating taxes on dividends is
that they are subject to "double taxation." Shareholders pay taxes on
dividends at the rate their ordinary income is taxed. And corporations
cannot deduct dividends from their taxable income, meaning they pay taxes on
them, too. Does that mean that dividends are double taxed? Only if you
subscribe to the belief that corporations don't pay taxes, people do. Under

Trump Tax Plan
Trump Tax Plan
Personal Exempt.
AGI(Adjusted Gross
Taxable Income.
Taxable Income

TLDR.
As AMT taxable income rises over $175,000 the next dollars are effectively
taxed for AMT at 35% (28% + 0.25* 28%). The exemption is completely phased
out at $447,800 of AMT taxable income where the AMT effective marginal tax
rate takes a step down from 35% to 28%. This point is the bottom of the AMT

Tax Bucket
5、401K里提供很多牛逼fund(中小盘、科技盘、创业盘),但管理费价格要远远低于

From your post, I get that your annual income is around $120,000.:)
All right, let me help you. Although I think your original post has some
issue with logic, as already pointed out by some people, I believe your
numbers.
$80,000 annual income - $30,000 alimony = $50,000 taxable income.(Alimony is
tax deductible.)
For single, $50,000 taxable income would pay around $8,600 federal income
tax in 2011 (state income tax would be lower than this depending on the
state). If this guy also contributed s...

All income taxes.
Normally taxable MM funds have higher yield than muni MM funds, so you want
to buy taxable MM funds. But occasionally, like in late September this year,
the muni MM funds has much higher yield for a month due to the crazy MM
situation.

bond vs Money market, which one is better? and the reasons?
is that true:
1) for taxable account, munis are better
2) for non-taxable account (401k), MM is better?

You need roth, taxable, and 401(k) alike, because it is highly likely in a
given single year, you need to pull out quite a lot of money which could put
you into the top bracket in that single year if you only have 401(k). Roth
and taxable give you a tax diversification protection.
Conversely, if you only have Roth, your other incomes may be low enough that
it put you in the lowest tax bracket, you are then an idiot by paying so
much tax when you were young.

To determine the source of assets distributed from a Roth IRA, the IRS uses
the 'ordering rules'. According to the ordering rules, assets are
distributed from a Roth IRA in the following order (once assets from one
source run out, the assets from the next source are distributed):
1. regular Roth IRA participant contributions.
2. taxable Traditional IRA conversions.
3. nontaxable Traditional IRA conversions.
4. earnings on all Roth IRA assets.
