針對上週「紐約時報」言論版一篇主張「棄台灣、救經濟」的評論，美國新聞網
站「哈芬登郵報」（The Huffington Post）18日在世界欄（World）刊出回應駁斥此種
主張。
這篇文章題為「你為什麼該在意台灣」（Why You Should Care About Taiwan）
，作者密勒（David Miller）是位政治分析家，也是美軍太平洋司令部（U.S. Pacific
Command）兼顧問。
針對克恩（Paul V. Kane）提出的棄台論，密勒問道，畢竟，如果美國願意用幾
塊錢賣掉台灣，那何不賣南韓？何不賣日本？如果你是個科技先進的小國，地處不時顯

的20%。
除去战场死亡的几千人，美军现役以及退伍军人自杀高达每年6600多人左右。其中退伍
军人自杀率是美国平均自杀率的两倍，每年高达6570人左右。
