and transfer to EE or computer later.
Biostatistics might be another choice since psychology people do a lot of
statistical analysis in their research.
If you have worked for a while, you may condiser MHA (master of health
administration, corresponding to MBA).

发帖数: 6 | 6 UMASS是MS,其余两个是PhD。好像几个学校的综合排名差挺多的，但是BIOSTAT的专业排名
差不远。不知道该选哪个？我人现在在费城，不想动来动去的，想上TEMPLE算了，但是看
到UPITT和UMASS的综合排名又动心？
另外我本来已经完成MBA，非名校，在OPT期间，如果现在找到工作（35K-40K），是工作
还是接着读书啊？真是好麻烦的。

structure-functioin study) is kind of hard to find a job. My understand is
general chem.
Wonder which major should I try?
Biostatistics and Biomed, Biophar or Pharchem, Medicinal Chem all require a
lot prerequisite courses.

昨天猎头正式通知我，拿到offer,决定将经验写一下，给大家分享。
公司是猎头推荐的，还不错，先是电话面试，总体上问了一下以前做什么，现在做什么
，为什么要换工作，就是常规回答罢了。
一个礼拜后on site,总体要见5个人，感觉有些人喜欢我，有些没有感觉，但是问题就
那些，但是那offer拖了很长时间，关紧是因为HR的人老是不在，昨天正式说拿到。
一年做市场的感想（指有一年，不知道有没有资格），一些如何准备这个方向的建议。
先说感想，总体上觉得这个方向不错，目前自己觉得，中国人做统计的这个方向的人不
过多，我的大多数同学都去biostatistics,读书的时候自己也很想去，现在死了这个心
。偏题了，回来，其实market department在一个公司里面的地位很高的（这个很有感
触，看到无数次market department 压倒R&D）,感觉这个里面中国人多一些，就好了。
感觉也蛮稳定的，市场永远做不完的，而且不可能外包。就是要对英语的要求高，发音还是很重要的，还要个人的personalit |

事情?"
About this one, you need to ask people in your field. In our profession, if
you do this (拿到更好的offer后反悔前offer), you will have a bad reputation.
In biostatistics, if you do this for faculty position, it means you don't
want to be a faculty for the rest of your life. Alternatively, you may
reason: if you do this for a statistician position at company, it means you
don't want to work for company any more.
Just be cautious about making such a decision. |

我的program name还不在STEM上。它是“Health Informatics”，是由"Health
Technology", "Biostatistics" 和 "Computer Science"的课程组成的。 这三个都在
list上, 但"Health Informatics"不是. 我已经给SEVIS发信问了，建议他们加上。
另外，那个NPO是NCI（National Cancer Inst）下属的医院，应该是e-verified吧，请

工资大概多少（在SF Bay area)？自己有在Biotech 3年的工作经验，以前做过

职位越来越少，大公司都outsource了。不过你有BioTech 的经验，可以建议一开始读

做到现在，paper发了一篇，但是越来越觉着很累，并且想到以后要做博后，就很不想
继续读了
我未婚夫在另一个学校，他马上就要phd毕业了，但他也劝我不要读了，因为如果读下去我们还要异地三年
我现在想今年硕士毕业然后重新读一个硕士
现在看到了以下几个硕士：
1。accounting
2。finance
3。statistics (里面分为Applied Statistics，Specialization in Compuational
Science and Engineering，Specialization in Computational Life Sciences）
4。public health（里面包括了Biostatistics）
请大家指点一下，这四个方向，哪个方向好找工作，并且以后工作不会太累呢？我想以后把重点放在家庭上。
