要求参加的同学uw至少做完一遍，正确率80%以上。
比如每一个器官的题目会按如下进行分类，就是uw create test的时候右边的选项器官
，左边的选项算分科。就是先按右边的选，然后选左边的。这样子便于大家统一。从3
月3号开始每周五上课，晚上大概西部时间5:30pm (如果有同学需要调整可以告诉我，
不过这个是最早的开始时间)。
每个周二晚上我会给大家发一个每一个器官下面所有按右边科目顺序排列的题目列表。
大家可以参考一下，以防我们有漏的或者大家不够统一的地方。

发帖数: 329 | 15 在美国，生物统计实际上是一个错误的名词，真正的名称，其实应该叫做
Medicine Statistics.因为所谓的生物统计其实是统计在medicine,epidemiology
上的应用。因此偶们第一次上课老师就纠正了这个概念。只是一开始用了
biostatistics，所以就一直沿用下来。事实上你可以一点生物都不懂，一点关系
都没有。系里的不少faculty都是学数学出身的。
生物信息（bioinformatics)是另一马事，主要是用数理方法分析DNA，Protein的
序列信息，结构信息及其和遗传，生物功能的关系。这门东东实际上是随着
对于DNA序列信息，protein结构信息的不断获得以及super computer的发展
而兴起的。从本质来看，这个bioinformatics更有science的味道，而所谓的
biostatistics其实是一门应用科学。一位学统计的老前辈对偶说过，现在
学统计，理论不是那莫重要，只要精熟SAS，所向批你。 |

programs.
Actually the key point is money. If you have money, master programs would
like you. If you do not have money, you may try some biostatistics PhD
programs, though I am afraid you would not be qualified based on your
undergraduate background. By the way, if you choose biostatistics rather
than statistics, I think it would be more difficult to get a job after
graduation.

survival, 以及statistical genetics等等. 当然有些bioinformatics也纳入
biostatistics的范畴,但bioinformatics顶多算跟biostat有交叉,不能算传统的
biostatistics. biostat的training跟bioinfo的focus不一样.要细分,这几大支还能分
出很多小支来,比如statistical genetics,可以做gene mapping/genetic association
study, evolutionary genetics, population genetics, genetic epidemiology, 动
植物breeding等. 而在industry,生统最常见的是做clinical trials, 而statistical
genetics 的focus虽然有些工业界的opening (比如agriculture公司的育种或者一些

我一下吧，无尽感激阿！！
我原来是计算机背景，统计master, 两年经济类consulting公司工作经验，也是基本上
编程。
现在一个工作是biostatistics，纯sas编程，full time job.
好处：
1。可以转到用sas了（原来用的是别的语言），做两年后sas会很熟练，统计里sas一家
独大。
觉得sas弄好了，去finance也是可行的吧．
2。感觉统计领域中，什么sas programmer,biostatistics这类的工作还是占大部分，
觉得有了经验后，不愁以后没工作了。
3。离家非常近，10分钟车程。
坏处:
1。以前没有想往bistatistics里发展，因为是master，自知只能永远做sas
programmer.
当初毕业的时候就想找金融，marketing这些领域的工作，没想到现在重来了．
2。pay的比较低．
另一个工作是能源公司的risk analysis, contractor.
先说坏处:
１．技术含量低，虽然说他也用time serie |
