看到前面一帖子，5岁孩子好奇人类的起源，妈妈说不清楚，然后有些回帖质疑进化论。
忍不住另外开一贴说几句，
对生物起源等问题保持open的态度和好奇心是好事，对孩子也确实不必要一味地灌输知
识和结论，而是应该启发他们思考。
以上都是科学的态度, 科学和宗教的根本区别就是，科学是不claim绝对真理的，科学
是不断前进发展的，人类的知识在科学证实的过程中日益壮大，科学在证伪的过程中比
以往任何时候都更接近真相，推陈出新。
持科学的态度去看待细节还没有被完全复现和解释的问题，比如生物起源，并不表示可
以无根据地虚无地对被广泛证实的进化论本身持怀疑态度。
那个帖子里面很多人都提到了，很多人初中生物没学明白，还没弄清楚进化论是什么，
就开始反对进化论。

先说逻辑：
你听到窗外树上有鸟叫。你可以用汉语作这样一个表达：“树上有鸟。”这在汉语，是
一个明确，完整的表达。英语只有用“There's a bird on the tree. 或者“There
are birds on the tree”
都必须先把树上究竟是只有一只鸟还是有一只以上的鸟弄清楚。如果这个信息对你很
重要的话，那么，不妨先去把鸟数一下然后再说话，也就罢了。可是，在绝大多数场合
，我们并不关心鸟的具体数目，这类信息即使弄清楚了也没有表达出来的必要，何况还
有弄不清楚的时候。并且，如果窗外的树不止一棵，那么，就英语而言，除了有“
There are birds on the tree”外，还有“There are birds on the trees”的可能
。你想要不把话说错，不但要把鸟数清楚，还要弄清楚这些鸟是停在同一棵树上还是分
停在不同的树上。
这种词尾变化越多，语言的效率就越低。对精确性也毫无帮助。
汉化后的英语将会是这样：当我们知道树上有鸟但是数目不详或无意表达数目时，可用

般有大学文化的人也可以随口说出: 鲁迅，巴金，郭沫若，沈从文，老舍，张爱玲，他
们每个人的代表作有哪些，一般大家都知道。
美国人好像就没有，说来说去就是Hamlet,什么“to be not to be", 最多robert
frost的“two road diverged in the woods". 别的还有什么？ 我不是指的什么哈利
波的，达芬奇密码之类的通俗小说。 我是说那些西方历史上著名的小说，诗歌，怎么
现代人没人了解，没留下什么脍炙人口的名句，篇幅？中国人好像对西方名著了解的要
比他们自己还要多，什么简爱，呼啸山庄，双城记，罪与罚，中国人都知道个大概。美
国人，除了文学爱好者，一般人更本不知道。

and the making of the modern world economy 里 argue 的那样，英国的丰富的煤矿
恰巧离它历史上形成的产业中心很近，而中国的煤矿都在北方，特被是山西，那里离中
国的经济最发达的地区譬如江南太远，运输有多有不便，抑制了江南工业的大发展；
另外就是新大陆的发现，这个发现本身当然也有意外的成分；
但是我觉得这个经济/产业革命的发生，更像一个 drift-diffusion model（类似有x一
阶导数的 general 热传导方程），drift 部分是 deterministic 的，diffusion 部分
是随机的，短时间看 diffusion 部分起得作用很大（dt比较小的时候，drift近似不变
），但是长期的看，发展的期望值其实是由 drift 决定的，而这个 drift 到底是什么
函数，就见仁见智了，呵呵 |

相信所有关注薄熙来在重庆践行他的“唱红”、“打黑”政纲，准备凭借打造“五个重
庆”而问鼎最高权力的国人，都会注意到薄熙来时不时高调宣示自己及其家人廉洁无私
的言辞，堪称是个廉官能达到的极致。
例如，有一次薄熙来在大会上这样谆谆教诲自己的下属：“廉洁是一种幸福，不贪不佔
，遍体轻松，心地坦然，办事踏实。做清官是大智慧，这方面各级领导干部要切实负起
责任，既要把自己管好，也要把所辖范围的干部管好，这既是责任，也是能力。严是爱
