Had probably my fastest training run today: a 17.2 mile run avg 7:11 pace.
Mile splits are 7:48, 7:32, 7:12, 7:17, 7:16, 7:11, 7:05, 7:10, 7:05, 7:06,
7:08, 7:10, 6:59, 6:55, 7:03, 7:09, 6:47. I wasn't planning on a pace run
but found myself going at a good pace from the start. Legs still felt pretty
fresh towards the end, and I felt like I could easily have come up with a
couple more sub 7 miles if I tried. But I started to feel soreness in my
left AT again in the last couple miles -- though no

congrats, it looks like a great run to me. cutting 2-3 miles short isn't a
big deal.

I wouldn't say definitely - far from, in fact. I would say that I saw a
glimpse hope of going sub 3 for the first time. Now I just hope to get over
this AT problem and step up intensity in my training.

2 to 3 days' rest won't ruin your training , go for it.

congrats!
we had 18m tune up race today, one bbs runner run same pace as yours, i run
15sec slower than yours, pretty satisfied ````` now heading to a bbq to
fill up gas to my tank ``` lol

That won't be necessary. I'm recovering just fine with my current training
schedule. I'm pretty sensitive to alarming signs of the body these days. I'd
make adjustment right away whenever there is any minor discomfort.

did tonyprince do that? it's much tougher to run this pace in the central
park course. looks like you are ready to BQ in Chicago!

before this 18m, tonyprince already logged 50mile last week, so he planed +8
felt so good ```
i could not run 18 m by myself. it's totally different if you run with
thousands runners, with fluid station every 2 miles ``````
i'm not in BQ shape yet (poor training and A.T. injury) . previously i just
hope beat my 2009 chicago's 3:47, then run beijing and nycm. now i adjust
to 3:30 in chicago, which i will run asura's name
i feel excited for next 3 marathons ``````will have lots of fun & friends `
