p.s. The gold standard for diagnosis of cirrhosis or fatty liver is liver biopsy. Researchers are still trying to find a single or combined parameters from serum test to estimate the severity of liver damage. |

A couple of things need to be considered.
Etiology (what caused the cirrhosis) sometime matters.
It also depends on the severity of cirrhosis and a lot of blood markers need
to be checked for assessment such as CBC (look at anemia and platelet count
), PT-INR (liver is the organ to produce coagulation factors. If this is
affected, combined with low platelet count, patient is at risk for bleeding
in addition for portal hypertension), and liver enzymes as well as other

上大学新生入学体检的时候第一次检查出来，众目睽睽下几个肝感觉阳性的同学给点名
，被校医区别对待了，甚

还是小三阳，姐姐是大三阳的，据说一度变成小三阳，现在不知道。因为美国好像没有
大小三阳的说法。
一直风平浪静的直到怀孕。第一trimester血结果出来以后，产科医生似乎有点紧张。
然后州政府的health
department给我打电话，说要把我登记在案。让我LG去打肝炎预防针，说小孩出生的几
个小时内得打第一针预防

transplantation?
I bet it's living donor transplantation. So he just needed parts of the
liver from a living donor. Donation from a living donor will ensure a much
shorter wait. Plus basically patient with cancer in locations other than
just liver would be denied request for othotopic liver transplantation most
of the times, regardless of his financial status. |

这些研究结果都没发现转基因比传统育种的更risky。

1. 保护孩子首先。
2. 从你描述的症状来看。应该是不能代谢长链脂肪酸, 没法beta-oxidation
LCHAD=Long-chain 3-hydroxyacyl-coenzyme A dehydrogenase deficiency
VLCAD=Very long-chain acyl-coenzyme A dehydrogenase deficiency
最后导致长链脂肪酸堆积，导致肝损伤，直至肝硬化。
3.避免长链脂肪酸。这类的疾病用Carnitine or MCT (medium chain triglycerides)
oil supplement.跳过长链脂肪酸代谢那一步(请尊医嘱)
4.我想应该是long chain FA氧化通路上的基因的mutation导致的。

damaged liver cells. That's why they are used as markers for diagnosis.
However, it could be 'normal' that ALT AST levels are elevated. A common
cause is taking acetaminophen (Tylenol), because it is metabolized in liver
and causes minor damage to liver cells too.
You should ask for a more comprehensive exam. To say it is H. B based on
ALT/AST levels is pre-mature. Don't forget there are many other liver
diseases.

Unlike small molecule or antibody, for siRNA, the efficacious range is very
narrow. Going up for 1 mg per kg might be toxic enough to kill the drug.
That is why people are nervous about current 4 mg per kg study as 3 mg is
obviously not good enough.
The other issue is that siRNA tends to go to the liver and HBV is a liver
disease where liver function is compromised. You have to wonder where the
drug will cure first or kill first.

Chinese medicine cure liver cirrhosis/cancer is a joke. If it is true, then
Nobel prize already goes to China.
I worked in one of the best hospitals in China for years as surgeon before
came to US. I've seen many 'doctor of Chinese traditional medicine' came to
us for cure of different liver diseases.
Cirrhosis has many types, and there is no universal cure.
For most of types, liver transplant is good for severer cases. You need

a so called "stink bait", one popular brand is "sony".
it is a jar of thick juice, there is a tube with many ridges and holes
on your hook, then u can dip it in the jar and throw out. it is very
easy to keep and made of chicken liver, i think.
chicken liver is very effective, at least as good as sony. but it is
really a pain to keep it on hooks. there is a kind of liver hook, which
is designed to hold liver better on hooks, but still not perfect. |
